Blog Makeover
As you can see I gave My Blog a little makeover... It's funny... Maybe not so funny depending on who you ask... but when I talk about "My Blog" it's like I'm speaking about a real live person! Ha Ha... I must have blog fever! I'm sure my hubby would agree with that... Anyway leave a comment and let me know what you think of the new look.

Taya's room & Lucky
Mataya is a super cleaner and her room is almost always spic in span... When I poked my head in her room today it was, as I expected, nice and tidy. But something was different... She asked me if I noticed anything new that she had done to it? I skimmed the entire room and then let out a scream! Lucky our dog was inside a purse hanging on her coat rack!!! At first I ran to rescue him and then I hesitated and ran for my camera instead. (I know what your thinking... animal cruelty!) But in all honesty he didn't seem to mind one bit being used for doggie-decor! He is such a trooper! Since her room was so picture-perfect I decided to snap some shots... Hope you enjoy!

Good News!
I forgot to mention that the camera mentioned in my last post was not my brand new Nikon but my old beat up cannon (which had previously been dropped & shattered by Mia). Hope this makes all of my millions of readers feel better... lol!
Bad news...
I was soooo hoping to post pictures of Oscar and Mia's trip to the zoo. I had the camera packed and ready to go... I even made a point of calling Oscar every hour or so to make sure he was taking lots of pictures! He assured me he was and I wouldn't be disappointed. When I got home the 1st thing I did was grab the camera. I noticed it felt a little damp... then after multiple attempts to turn it on I realized something was not right. I went to the source... and apparently the camera had been packed back up with a water bottle in which the lid was loose... and yep you guessed it... The camera had been soaked. I wasn't to upset since the camera was already on it's 9th life and I thought surely the memory card would still work... I headed over to Walgreen's to try and salvage their sweet memories together... but to my sadness the memory card could not be revived... I was heart broken to say the least. :o( So no photos... Only sweet memories that Oscar and Mia will forever hold in their hearts...

In need of some R&R
The last 2 weeks have been so hectic... I've been crazy busy at work and Oscar's picked up a side job and working 16 hour days... I really shouldn't complain.... but it would be nice to take a break from it all... Oscar's actually going to be getting a break tomorrow as he is chaperoning Mia on her school field trip to the Zoo. Mia is very excited about this and has been telling us how all the kids at school are going to think her Dad is soooo cool! When I asked her why? she said "because he knows everything about animals from watching Discovery Channel" I told Oscar to make sure he is extra cool! I'm sure they both will have a great time... In the mean time I will be day-dreaming of going on vacation... I can't wait for thinks to warm up so we can take a trip to the beach... For now I will drool over my pictures from previous trips...

Daddy's girls
I finally got a chance to download the photos I took the night of the Father Daughter Dinner... The girls absolutely loved the idea of going on a date with their dad... I on the other hand was a bit jealous that I couldn't tag along... :o( I did however talk them in to letting me take photos before the big date! Yeah! Or so I thought... With Mataya worrying about being late, Mia complaining she was cold and Oscar being irritated that I had to take pictures at a special location... and then to top it off... it started to rain! Let's just say the smiles you see aren't authentic! But hey... unless your reading this you'd never know! So after the not so successful photo shoot I was off to the car to rescue my camera from the rain and Oscar and the girls headed out on their date... On my way home I stopped by one of my favorite stores (Name Brand Exchange) picked up a cool tie-dye t-shirt for just $5.00 and then headed home... Home all alone... I watched a little CNN (Shout out to Anderson Cooper!) then as 8'O'clock rolled by, I started to feel a bit lonely and decided to bond with our Chihuahua... I think I understand the meaning of mans best friend now! lol... So finally after what seemed like forever my kids busted through the door... I begged for details but all the girls could talk about was all the candy they got from the candy bar... After much begging and pleading I was finally able to get some details of their evening... Oscar enjoyed his time with the girls and was really inspired by some of the stories he heard that evening. We talked about how important it is for girls to spend time with there Daddy's... And I must say I feel so very thankful that God has given my girls a truly awesome Daddy...

"Mi Familia"
We had a blast this past Saturday celebrating Purium with our church family. The celebration consisted of food, fun, games and an international costume theme. Our family dressed up as Mexicans... (this was not hard to do!) When I first ran the idea by Oscar he was a bit hesitant but he ended up being a great sport and really got into his character... A.K.A "Pablo-Ignacio-Guadalupe-Lopez the III"!!! Don't ya just love the mustache! Good times... Good times...
